My warcraft 3 won't start anymore. When I click the TFT icon on my desktop the splashscreen shows up and my computer freezes. I have no idea how to fix this. I can start the game through replays though, but its really annoying to do that everytime. Do anyone know whats wrong?

I think it can be DirectX. Sometimes I see an error message that says that I don't have the current version. But I have a higher version. Maybe I should uninstall it and install the needed verion.

N_Legend, What do you mean with "just start through replay for reinstall."? I've tried to reinstall, and it didn't work. Well... I guess I have to start a replay file everytime...

Lots of things. Memory errors, overheating, fried motherboard (my case), bad hard drive, or you are using Windows 98SE which is hyper-stable but crap for Warcraft III on a bad day.*

You could always REFORMAT YOUR HARD DRIVE, then reinstall all the drivers from scratch. Apparently, you did something wrong when you installed Wc3 or DirectX.

Try cleaning your file system. Run Defrag, (preferably not the windows one, i prefer PerfectDisk) get a registry cleaner, scan for virus/spyware, etc. Ive found that when my disk gets defragged badly, warcraft runs like crap, the MPQ files are the ones that get it the worst. If this doesnt work, I would try uninstalling War3 and reinstalling. If alll else fails, you may need a reformat, but I would try other steps first, cuz we all know that reformatting can be a pain sometimes.
