Can't Read Diablo 2 Disk

I INSTALLED BUT IT DOESN'T READ DISK WHEN I WANT TO PLAY WHY???

...reinstall and choose the multiplayer option (or single player option) the reason this happens is because the cd has been used on another computer...

I did reinstall twice and it still didn't work and i chose multiplayer and full the three times i did it what else could be wrong my friend that i got it freom uses the expansion but hasn't been on it in like 3 months so i dunno I am just talking about the regular disk for now
