The 9800 Pro is better because it performs better (stating the obvious). It's performance in DirectX 9 is superior compared to the 5900. The actual pipelines in the 5900 is 4x2, compared to the 9800 Pro's 8x1 pipelines. Although the 5900's pipelines are 4x2, it still acts as a 4x1 pipeline card, thus it's performance and image quality is not as great compared to the 9800 Pro.

Although the 5900 is cheaper, the 9800 Pro has a better price/performance ratio.

You really dont need that good of a vid card, I'd say a Geforce 3 will go cheap and last another 7 years before its outdated. if you insist, the 9800 is probably the better one.

I own an ATI R9600 Pro at 128 MB. You are better off with just 128 MB. It wont be like 4-5 years before games require it as a minimum requirement

right now no games needs more then a 64mb vid card even HL2 will only need a 64mb GC, people who buy 256, 512, graphic cards are either doing CAD, MAJOR video editing, or are buying a card and waitin to but its power to teh test in a few years when there card will be outdated and be able to support newer games.

go wit a 128mb card. yes the 9800 pro is wut u should go wit.
