Can you unexpire a char?

i had taken a break from d2 and left a bunch of good stuff on my old acct but now that im back theyr all expired because of the new patch is their a way to get them unexpired?

thats why they are called "expired"... you cant unexpire your milk or steak or muffins once they have gone bad

on my friends computer, all of his characters say expired, but he can still play em, is that some glitch or sumthin, its messed up, cuz we all though his godly items had expired and we started getting pissed, then we just clicked on teh characters and we were able to play like normal >< it scared us ><

@thread maker: its not possible to unexpire char, i tried it, and they all stay as expired.
