Can you be banned for using bots?

Does blizz ban cdkeys that were used for bots?
The cdkey I used for stealth bot was banned, could using stealth bot have gotten me banned? Or did I have to do something else to get banned?

I've used my D2 key, my WC3 key, and my old SC key for my bots, and none of them were ever banned. I was using UltimateBot.

I think so. Because the stealth bot is a form of hacking into B.net. It sucks and there is nothing you can really do about it.

Maybe somebody posted your key on a website? Blizz checks it a lot and if spontansuly its on there, they will ban it. Or somebody could have used it to flood or load.
