Farmins is constantly killing monsters in an area, Azhera for instance. Farming usually yeilds high level awsome items, which people auction off for insane rpaces at the AH.

Kiting is ranged attacking, usually by a hunter or mage.

i will expand on farming a little more.

it's usually when a higher level character camps in a zone, usually one that drops a lot of good stuff, and then sits there killing everything that spawns. once their inventory is full, they go to town and sell their stuff. they are farming (hoarding) gold to either become better themselves or theya re actually trying to sell gold on eBay. it can be good if you do it for yourself.

Actually Kiting, is when you keep running, but he the attacker can't reach you to attack, but you can attack him(Mage/Hunter are a perfect example). Did a kiting on a named in an instance, it was funny, the Warrior was running around, and barely got hit, and the mage raped the named.

Farming doesnt always mean in a lowlevel spot for them. It could just mean they want money so there going to go kill stuff that drops stuff you can sell nicely. no matter the level.

There are different ways to kite...

1: You have twice the speed of the mob and you use a ranged
weapon or spell on it, run, ranged weapon or spell, run, ranged
weapon or spell until it dies.

2: You have twice the speed of the mob and cast a DOT
on the mob so that it's hps go down while it chases you.

3: Do the same thing in #'s 1 and 2 only you are the same
speed of the creature and you put a snare on the mob.

4: You attack a mob and gain as much aggro as you can
and then run and let it chase you while your pet attacks it.

Can't think of any more off the top of my head at the moment...
I haven't slept!!! :doh

Oh, the difference between farming and camping is...
farming is like Andrew said, hoarding. You kill stuff just to gain money
from it in the end. Camping is taking control over one area and killing
mobs as soon as they pop for the purpose of xp, items, quests.

No, not really, seeing as how the spell is holding your target in place.
If you are moving and the mob is following you, that is kiting.
The mob is following behind you like a kite would basically.

What you are doing is called the caster's technique.
The idea behind that is to keep the mob as far away from you as
possible while still kicking it's ass and you living to tell about it.
