Is it possible to have an audio CD larger than 70 minutes? I can make a 3 hour mp3 an easy fit onto a 700mb CD, but when I tried to burn it to a CD using a data burn (audio wouldn't let me) it didn't work in my CD player (I didn't expect it to)

So, is it possible to burn a +70 minute mp3 (converted to wav of course) onto a CD, so that it works with a CD player that isn't mp3 compatible? (Nero preferrably)

Simple answer, no.

Only way you can burn that is onto an mp3 cd, or a data disc that you mentioned before. Just stick it into your DVD player...about the only way you are going to be able to do that one.

Sorry for the lack of good news bub.

i think you can do overburn or something like that gives you 90 minutes but also can screw up the cd

Thats not possible, thats how I did it. I dropped a 192kb/s MP3 down to an 8bit 44khz wav file, 650 mb, data cd, not working. Splitting I don't want to do, because I can do that easily. Thanks for the responses.

Most empty CD-Rs have 80 minutes storage space, the other ones 74. Then there's overburn and the XXL CD-Rs. I don't get your problem but maybe I'm just nub. Hell, I even own a bought album with 75 minutes of music on it...

DVD Player read it as a VCD, it's just the first half a second skipping over and over.

Well..... I don't know how the industry does it. But 80 minutes, I think, is assuming something like unoptimized or something.

So, Tweak, unless you want to go to a factory to get your music burnt, there is no way. :)*

you cannot burn more minutes in audio format than the cd supports. If its a dvd player you are just trying to play it on, you can EASILY burn it as a .mp3 and it should play in your dvd player. As well as a mp3 cd player, but sorry if you dont want to segment it thats the only way your going to get it on a cd.
