[color=66ff66]I just saw something on TV that disturbed the hell out of me. This kid on a bus (they were in about 8-9th grade) along with the enitre bus was beating on one kid and laughing. Please share you thoughts. I live in a small town so none of that stuff happens normally.[/color]

I live in a small town too, but there are about 3 people in our school that EVERYONE hates, they get bullied so much. I feel sorry for them but really theres nothing i can do

I think that if you stand up to a bully the FIRST time he messes with you, he will never mess with you again. But if you allow them to beat and pick on you, it will only get worse. I think school promote the allowing of being picked on by telling you if someone takes a swing at you walk away or you will get in trouble. I think the rule should be if someone takes a swing at you and you dont beat the **** out of them, or at least try, you should get in trouble. haha, i know that isn't practical, but it would teach kids to stick up for themselves.

[color=66ff66]Rofl, that reminds me of one time were this kid made some name up for me in class. The only reason I didn't stab him with a pen was becuase of the police officer in our room. Though later I kicked his ass on the bus and got suspended for a day =(.[/color]

You have obviouslly never met a real bully, the kind that would beat your ass everyday just for fun if you decided to fight back.

Yes, they need to stick up for themselves if the bully gets away with it more than once they are going to take it for granted.

Someone calling you a name is no reason to get suspended .

meh... bullies are just human, they may be bigger and stronger than you, but you at least gotta try to fight back or run. when i was in elementry i got beat up almost every day, quite literally. it was like that until i got a little taller and stronger and started working out. the only way to stop them is to beat them, or move away

No, you are wrong, I have met plenty of "real" bullies, but none of them would dare **** with me. If i weren't as big as I am and I kept on losing to this bully, id get together a few of my friends and then beat his ass. There is no way I would stand by idle and just let someone beat me down day in and day out.

I think what Forged meant was that "what if" the bully WAS bigger and stronger than you, and "what if" you didn't have any friends that would back you up?That would just turn into a battle, the bully inturn might get some friends to back him up, until someone gets seriously hurt or expelled(At least at my school they would get expelled).Just a scenario...

This problem is entirely our own creation, if we hadn't gotten ride of all this bullshit about don't beat your kids, and instilled fear into them, they wouldn't do this shit. I mean if you did this kind of shit on the bus, the bus driver reports it, blah blah, eventually your father finds out, you go home and get your ass handed to you on a platter, the last thing your going to do is go out and do it again.

You don't always have to come to a confrontation, remember this famous quote: "if you can't beat them, join them". Canuck even if they got rid of that "bullshit" not all parents would behave like that, and others would let thier children get away with more. This is not a solution to this.

That is true, but it would atleast be a better solution then what we have now. Now if i tell some kid tells another kid hes a little gay ****er(or what ever kids say to insult each other) the worst that will happen if a vacation from school(suspension).

Thats also true but most (responsible) parents would ground their childern.When I got suspended from school I had to do yardwork and I live in arizona.Let me tell you it was not fun at all.

- you either piss him/her off
- their parents are very careless about their child
- They had bad day, you came and pissed them off.

It's true bullies, won't usually make fun of you for no reason.The exception to that is if your in my school and your overweight bring ear plugs.Bullies will once in a while just pick on someone because they looked at them or something like that, but it's usually only because their angry.

Hate to break it to you but that doesnt work. I have been through that they have friends to, and when they catch you alone you are going to get your ass beat. It just goes back and forth.
