I love reading all this, 1stly the original thread has merit in its logic and so do all its flames. but ask yourself this.
If you owned a company that sold its product on the back of the fact that game play was equal, there was a hard line for any 3rd party interferance, and that same company supplied a arena for whatever goes styl of player. Then wouldnt you protect that image? After all its' what is going to get customers to buy in the future.
I would, and this is how I would do it. (with Blizz present 2 coder's had at work, I think this is doubtfull though).
1. I would make the new patch seperate to anythng that went befor with no hope of a crossover, hard but doable I am sure. that would mean 2 soft and 2 HC arenas'.
2. I would remove all known "legit" items that have buggs, Buriza for example and add new different items. This would stimulate game play for the old diehards and new players alike.
This would give people a CHOICE, which for the 1st 2 months or so you know will be bugg free. Then who knows. But at the end of the day only 2 people in the world know exactly what is going to be done. And we aint thoes 2. Wait and all will be reveald grasshopper
