Bug/alien race vs robots

Has anyone else noticed that collectivist bug alien races(zerg, the stuff from starship troopers, etc) are very similar to robot races? They're both collectivists working towards the greater good of the community...anyways, whats your opinion on the two? which do you prefer in a game(as a choice)? a race of sentient robots or bug aliens?

Robots blow, they are usually gay sounding "male" robots.

Only time they are cool is when they are big mechs and ****.

i just recently connected the dots that they play almost the exact same role in most games. the only difference is that the bug races have been like that for a long time and robots usually turn on their makers...

bugs>robots. hk47 is the only robot character that transcendence
