Browser Issues

It's been a while so I don't know if talking about modding is illegal, and since I don't really give a shit, I passed on reading the rules for this section of Hell. Anyway, here's my question:

My friends PS2 hangs on the Browser when you want to load a game. He said he'll sell it to me for $20, so I am curious - if I were to get a modchip, would that override that problem, seeing as you'd get a new browser, yes? I mean, that's what the Xbox modchips do, never had a PS2, so I don't really know.

Yep. in modded ps2's you don't need to go to the browser just pop in the disc then reset different if you're gonna use swap discs. $20 sounds like a good deal anyways.

Oh does it come with a HDD?

No, no HDD. Exactly, what can I use that for?

You can store your games on your HDD and load it there with HDadvance or HDloader.

Oh cool...so, does Sony make a specific HDD or can you go out and get a regular Computer one?
