This is a zerg mission...

So no cannons,etc...and that would just use up all minerals anyway.

Good heavens, man, it's a Zerg mission and you tell him that? :p

And cheating in that game is so cheap it's not even funny :p

What you have to do is to expand. That's what that map is for. Expanding. And, for that, you'll need troops. As it is vsing the computer, I recommend massing hydras. Head for Brown (the easiest), kill him and build hatcheries near his minerals. Get overlord's speed and carrying abilities so you can mine the ones up the hills. Then you can either keep going. Don't forget to infest the enemy's command center, if you can. They'll be used in the next mission.

Thanks Monga...I did expand and knocked off several of his camps(red and orange) and then took advantage of the open mines in the middle...however: every time I get close to the 10,000 he send LOTS of enemies which force me to use lots of minerals to defend.

Yeah, but if you have a good defense, it won't be a problem. Don't worry about investing, you'll get your minerals.

Here's how I did it. I made 2 hatches in the beginning and got gas really quickly. Got more minerals to ther right. You have to fight off some red terrans before you can take it. Get lair asap and sacs for your ovies then speed. Get some range/speed upgraded hydras and take the cliff away from the brown terran and infest their CC from there as well as using the resoucres. Brown will down easily from this point. Use those resources as well. Once done get some guardians/mutas and overlords to kill the red base(infesting their CC, of course). Once done, take their resources if you're running low and wait for 10,000 minerals. Easy mission. You don't know HARD until you reach the last one.

BTW, don't let Fenix fight, except in the beginning with ultra support.

Some maps just take longer than others.
Make sure you build a movable army to raid each base. And Save those CC because they do shit in the other missions. =\
The first patch MAY look like enough, but its not. Be like a MASH unit, movable. :)

More or less on topic, I actually think that the hardest mission of the entire campaign is Brood War's Terran final. At least untill you kill the brown cerebrate. Torrasque take quite a punch before dieing... What about you, guys?

I found the zerg ones a bit more challenging. I simply made a bunch of dropships filled with m&m and SV support and took out the cerebates. M&M micro is EXTREMELY helpful for beating the torrasque. With upgrades, of course.

BTW, Cangiz, Fenix dies long before the last zerg mission. :(

word, zerg wasnt hard, you just mass units etc, it just takes you long time..

protoss last mission... it was challenging, but I think Terran was hardest overall.

But that missions... Zerg missions where you start off at deserts... and terran mission where you get hit by nukes in begining, those were hard missions.

The problem with that is that Torrasque killed a rine with just an attack ;)

Well, in that map, I made 6 battlecruisers, after making like 20 bunkers, then I moved on to the next base and made the rest of the Mass BCs.

n00b strategie, I know :p

Oh, and, yes, that one in Terran vs the Nuking ghosts was not easy, specially the attack.

That's why you abuse the range advantage of marines. You stim(make sure meds are nearby), run away, press A then click on the torraque. Rinse and repeat. Plus this helps you to play tvz on bnet.

I found the nuking mission easy. Oh well.

Defensive matrix helps, use matrix on 1 marine, since Computer AI is made to attack & chase any units that are the most dangerous. It works with lurkers, the lurks will just attack matrix'd rine(stim & run)while other marines take care of em. But I haven't tried on Torrasque yet.
It might work since zerg units have small brains.

To kill the Torrasque...I used the ultimate noob strat...a ring of depots around my base so that nothing could get in, and LAYERS of bunkers inside. The Torrasque chewed up a building and died within about 10 seconds. NOTHING could get in. From there, progressive nuke strikes took out EVERYTHING. I like the slow, strategic tactics that cannot fail.
