if i have 2 computers can i hook them both up individually via modem to my broadband connection without having a to network the 2 computers? is that possible?

I dont think you can, your connection needs to be split between them and assign different IP for the two computer.

Just buy a hub then, its only lik 5-15 bucks, or a Router.

Routers can be a bit expensive, upwards for $100 but are well worth it, because you can hook up more computers as you get them, and only pay for one internet connection.

They aren't too expensive, just go up to Wal-Mart and get you a 4-port router by linksys, its like 39.99, definately worth it.
