Brand new player..advice please.

Just purchased WoW.
Have been playing DDO and used to play everquest, so I'm not new to MMPORGs

Suggestions on a good class/race combo for first character?

Something not overly basic, but I don't wanna throw myself into the mess too quickly.

In terms of ease of play..I suggest a hunter. They're fairly easy to learn, level up quick, and can do a lot of dps in end game and pvp.

As far as races for hunter go..for Horde go Troll and Alliance go Night Elf.
