Ok, just to let you know I am not a newb map maker and am not new to trigger but something crazy is going on when I am trying to make a bound. For example when I make a trigger to make 1 Flag and location, it makes 3 when I say 1. Stuff like that is going on and its messing up my "level" triggers. I use SC X-TRA Edit 2.6 and GUEdit. Any help?

you should post it as an attachment. but, ur problem is fortunately a common problem.

what is happening is that the trigger is being run for more than 1 player. for example, if u selected players 1, 2, and 3 for "players" (before conditions and actions,) and all 3 players were in the game or computers, if the conditions were met for each player it would be run for each player. for example with this:

players: 1, 2, 3
conditions: always
actions: create 1 marine at location 0 for whoever

it would make 3 marines. to fix this you would just select 1 player instead of 3, or select the force, etc... play around with it to get what you want! :)

problem = if u put create units for player under a force it will create as many as u tell it to times the amount of people in the force, either switch it to a force with 1 person or switch it to a player

65535 Ehh
this number comes from binary. Information on computers is stored on bits like a switch ither on or off 1 or 0.
Bits are grouped in sections of 8 called a byte. A byte uses combinations of 8 ones or zeros. there are 256 combinations of 1s and 0s in one byte. When you add another byte to the equation there is 16 bits and this totals for 65536 differant combinations (256 times 256). Some times you get a number like 255 or 65535 (one less) this is simply because they start the counting at zero instead of one.

So bacicly the number comes from the amount of bytes used to store the data for the unit.

I assume you don't care to know how to actually read binary

This is my post # 0000 0001 0100 0001 aka 321

ok, I fixed my flag problem. Now I was also wondering about something else. It seems that a level doesnt start (my only level) but the switches are in place and I dont see why they shouldnt work.
