If your after a bot that sits in a Public channel

One of the best you'll find. You can always place it in a more private channel by choosing "Public Chat ADD YOUR CHOICE HERE"
I personally would not trust one of those where they say email us your CD Key, and we will mail a personalized bot to you in a week.
There are others that can go anywhere, and you place a CD Key in it yourself, but if you don't have 2 you can't play and moderate at the same time. Can't help you with those, try a google search.
And as far as what a bot is....
It's basically a messager for Bnet, that sits in a channel. Use it to keep track of friends, or to moderate a channel. Or as we have all seen many times, to spam a channel with clan info, and porn advertisments.

Actually, the same people that made Ultimate Bot, have produced a seperate program called BG3, which allowed UB, and any other public chatroom-based bot to go in private channels. I use it to moderate my clan channel actually.
Anyway, you have to apply to get what they've dubbed a "BG3 Key" for their program to work. It essentially lets them keep track of everyone that uses one, and your bot functioning in a private channel is dependant on their server not going down. However UB using BG3 is one of the most secure bots you can download and have if security is an issue with officers in a clan or whatever.

You don't have to supply any StarCraft CD Keys or anything, you just have to answer a few simple questions.
