Well, every once in a while Norton pops up with a virus alert for something called Bloodhound, but it says it can't repair it. I don't know what it is, but I'm not really scared since nothing seems to be unusual. Yea, I'm just wondering what it is and if it's dangerous.

So it's probably nothing except Norton being idiotic as always?

Well when I used Nortan (for about a year and a half) I got virus's that Nortant detected but it could never get rid of.

My advice is try another A-V and see if you can get rid of it.

I couldn't find any definition for it, but you may have Bloodhound.Packed. You play D2, so you could have picked it up.

If it's a file, find it, and open up Norton and go to Quarantine. Quarantine it.

You can also send it to Symantec for further investigation.

Well, I never dl anything for D2. It's called Bloodhound.w32.ep or something similar to that. It has no noticeable affects and when I search for bloodhound, bloodhound.w32.ep etc. nothing comes up. Norton also said it couldn't repair it. Well, I don't like having it on my computer, so if anyone has something that could get rid of it please tell me where to get it (preferably free).

I don't think it's very dangerous though, since nothing seems wrong. ><

Hmm, I'm scanning my computer right now. It's probably nothing but Norton thinks it's something. Well, if it comes up I'll just Quarantine it.

erm...
"bloudhound" isnt a virus...it's a term norton's "bloudhound" system uses to identify files that exhibit virulent behaviour...

update your virus definitions, and run a full scan (the file(s) previously detected as 'bloudhound' should now be properly identified as the viruses they actually are...if not, you can always the file(s) and submit them to SARC)
