Blizz is deleting p-bot accounts

My account with a level 99 pindle sorc disappeared last week. She and her merc had godly MF gear and could do a run in less than 35 seconds. Also on the account were three other godly equiped characters and four loaded mules. At first I thought I was hacked but then I realized that I was getting the "account does not exist" error and not the "Incorrect password" error. I confirmed that the account was flat out gone when I was able to make a new account with the name of the old one.

After almost a week of wondering what had happened I read this on www.diabloii.net.

They quote a bliz rep "I'm afraid I can't answer your question with a straight to-the-point answer. We are aware of the bots and hacks people use and when they adversely affect the overall performance of Battle.net, we will take action. The chest-hack was an example of this. We have already banned accounts for using the Pindlebot but this action was not deemed necessary to advertise. A lot goes on that the public will never be informed of. On one hand, that might be unfortunate, but on the other, it's just necessary from a business sense. Despite rumors to the contrary, Blizzard has not "given up" on Diablo II. There really is a very large patch in progress and it will be released when it has been thoroughly tested."

400+SOJs worth or items and a summer of pindleboting all gone.

well ur the only one. Blizzard cant detect pindlebot, it only does what u as a player can do, it does not hack battle net, it just sends command to your computer, or somthing.

Well this is the solution .. make a new acount.. make a Pbotter on a DIFFERENT acct and mule all ur items to ur normal account.. that way if you do loose anything it will only be ur Pbotters Equipment.

Actually the bot works by sending and receiving packets. why do you think it dissconnects you at the end of the run. it send the server a packet to do so. same with the dropping of items. the bot has a packet sniffer too to detect which items drop and a grabit to pick them up. therefore the bot is many cheats in 1 and blizz is un happy. Im mad cause i just started botting a week ago and now i cant do it anymore cause i dont want to lose my godly account.

After reading this original post I would be lying if I said that I wasn't a little concerned. But the message that was posted was from the unoffical diablo site. Although his point seem valid, and packets are being sent (which is highly detectable), I was just wondering if we can get an offical quote.

JED is detectable only because of the amount of games it makes. If you set your game creation time up to 120, 1 game every 2 minutes, you should be fine and still be able to pindle w/o being totally caught. If yer making games like every 20-30 seconds then you have a larger chance of being caught.

If yer dumb enough to think that blizzard can't pull up a list of games you've been making or how fast you've been making them, then you deserve to be caught IMHO. They do monitor their b.net if you like the idea or not.

In the terms of service it states somewhere that you cannot "stress" the servers. If you're constantly making games then they consider that stressing the server.

I myself am setting it to run every couple minutes...I'd rather get less items and not be banned. Also I made it to level 99 tonight AND got a WF sooooo I'm super stocked!

well, i can "stress" the Server a huge ****ing more when i make Games without JED . When i run pindle with my Barb it only takes me 20 secs a Game or less . So blizz will be very fine coz i pindle with my sorc and she needs 50 seconds a Game (-:

If those knobs down at blizz woulda made it a tad easier to get items, some of the more creative players would not have to resort to bots, and hacks. Ill tell you what, when you finally make game 6572, and you didnt find an item above tc87 then come talk to me about your retarded and assinine statement. After that many mf runs I finally wised up and got a pindle bot up and working.Further more, if your still stuck in classic Im sure one of us can come there and give you a hand. Did it EVER occur to anyone here, maybe blizz is deleting accounts from Bot users BECAUSE they come here and READ the posts containing "pickit logs"? All the smart people here seem to post their pickit log with their actual character name, how ****ing stupid is that. All blizzard has to do is come here read one of the MANY posts containing pickit logs WITH character names, and BAN THAT ACCOUNT. use your BRAINS JESUS

hey i gotta a way to fix dis witout making a new account, u might wanna try to not leave pbot on for so long try to play the game for a while so bnet wont think u doing pbot. that at dis pro told me.

Hobo123 is probably right. Blizzard flat out asks people to report site that post hacks so the can get copies of hacks to see how they work and patch them.

Maybe the decided the couldn't patch JED pindlebotting, and banning would only block you for a little while. So they decided to nuke accounts instead.

where u have z time for ur pindle run it would be cool if sum scripter could set it up so it randomly does it between like 60 and 120 seconds, since its random, they would really be able to say, "look, hes doing multiple runs all for the exactly same amount of time, he must be botting"

Well i was real sad hearing about the deleting of accounts with Pindlebot running. I have only found a Atma's Scarab with it

But as any other thing i really hope they(programmers of JED) can make a version that isnt detectable. I think the programmers did a great job with JED and i hope and i hope they read this post

they COULD be scanning this site but i doubti t cuz if you look at Diabloii.net they are askign peopel to send them Links of working BOTS / Hacks ... they are just too lazy to look for em themselves.
