Notice this article was written around the time it had just come out, not to mention it's hard to imagine this is hosted on www.scifi.com. Oh the horrible templating... it's like something you'd expect out of a Middle School kid.

I didn't get into SC until about 2-3 years after it came out. The most I ever saw the original was $20.

Being a major RTS player, and the fact I got SC the day it came out, I did pay $49.99 for it, plus tax. One of the best $50 I've ever spent. Then I had to go and scratch the discs up real bad and then paid $20 for the BattleChest, lol.

SC is one of those games you have to have if you're a major RTS fan.

MSRP stands for Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price.

In other words, what Blizzard wanted(and DID) to charge for it when it FIRST came out. StarCraft is now less then $10 (US Dollars).
