I need a new phone, something i can keep in contact with email for work. RIM's blackberry is great for email, but the iPhone has wi-fi, which is an added bonus.

Any suggestions?

I've got an iPhone. I'm pretty happy with it. I wish they would open it up to 3rd party applications, though.

iPhone, the chicks love it.

I've also heard that Apple will allow actual third party applications soon. If not, just go ahead and hack it. :)

I read somewhere that they're going to allow them sometime in 2008.

It's alright. For texting, it's not great, but you get used to it. In certain applications such as the Internet browser, you can tilt the phone horizontally so the keyboard spans the height of the screen (sideways) rather than the width which creates more room between each key.

Well if i do go with the iPhone, i'l have to wait since it's not aviailable here in Canada yet. Of course i could get a hacked unit, but i'm not that desperate...i can't wait a few more months

Yea, I wouldn't try and get a rigged unit. It's just not worth the hassle.

I've heard good things about Blackberries. It seems like a good alternative.

I'd go with the iPhone. In case you oversleep for work, you can check the weather, you have music if theres nothing good on the radio or just for anywhere. Wireless internet, Maps, weather, music, hacked 3rd party other things, youtube, etc.

Neither. get a phone that is just a phone. It doesnèt scratch, break, overcharge, explode....

my cheap ass phone got ran over by a car twice. My friend dropped his 40$ phone once, and had to look for a new one. flashy and expensive = waste of money.
