"Note to the hard-core faithful: the next version of Halo will not, repeat not, be ready in time for the launch of Xbox 360. It will be part of the all-important second wave next spring. 'It's perfect,' Gates says, radiant with bloodlust. 'The day Sony launches [the new PlayStation], and they walk right into Halo 3.'" Bill Gates, time magazine, source

thoughts? is bill gates stepping out of line announcing the game when bungie hasnt said anything themselves?

Yeah, this is sorta old news, Ol' Bill wants to set a commercial trap for Sony. And, we all know H3 is in development, he wouldn't have announced it unless he had his money backing him up. So, according to Sony speculation, expect H3 next spring sometime, along with the PS3.

That's pretty interesting. I hadn't heard of him saying that, eventhough it's old.

Xbox 360 Launch Lineup from Electronics Boutique?
>> From xbox360.ign.com:
North American retailer Electronics Boutique, which expects Microsoft to ship the Xbox 360 as early as November 2, 2005 for an MSRP of $299.99, has comprised a complete, albeit questionable, list of X360 games for the console launch, IGN learned today from several EB outlets.
The list IGN acquired from EB retailers today, features 21 launch titles, including three first-party games from Microsoft Game Studios -- Perfect Dark LE (i.e. Limited Edition), Kameo: Elements of Power, and Project Gotham Racing 3, approximate pricing, and sku numbers for every game.

EB's own data includes a $59.99 price for every Xbox 360 game, except one, Kameo, which listed at $49.99. The retailer told IGN that software prices weren't fixed yet, as Microsoft, third-party publishers, and presumably North American retailers agree on a firm prices.
EB even has Halo 3 listed as shipping July 1, 2006, presumably the same day as Sony's PlayStation 3.[\B]
