I am not serious but if it ever goes through someone's mind ...
I sometimes visit other forums and when dealing with arrogant and rude moderators, I'm telling them I've been a global mod not of any tiny forum but of the huge battleforums, to make them look pathetic. It's true BFs may still support some hacking (I'm glad I never let this happen in war3 and so did the other staff members), but it is one of the very big forum sites. I just realized it also has resources including cash like few. I mean there are ~100,000 forums but how many of them are so big and offer prizes , etc. I don't know the sponsor but it made me think of 1 thing, just sharing that with you, not that I expect it:
Years ago I used to take part in two tourneys - CoW organized by clan CoW @ Northrend and the other which name I forgot - organized by WCReplays. I also had the opportunity to play vs pro players and I was was like 1/3 of my current skill. They had the cash for prizes - Ipods, headphones, chipsets, keyboard, etc. for the winner.
If a solo tournnament is organized, doesn't have to be weekly, some of the prizes offered for other contests here can be used for a tournament. This will increase the number of members, players, soloers etc. They will come not just for a tourney but also to hang out. This will bring life to the forum.
Also the same thing can be done for SCII when the game is out - a solo 1 vs1 tourney this is the standard format accepted as E-Sports Gaming, ESL, WC3L and every other game I think. Why because this is where the real skill shows, 2v2 is occassional but 1vs1 is the ultimate format.
