I am not serious but if it ever goes through someone's mind ...

I sometimes visit other forums and when dealing with arrogant and rude moderators, I'm telling them I've been a global mod not of any tiny forum but of the huge battleforums, to make them look pathetic. It's true BFs may still support some hacking (I'm glad I never let this happen in war3 and so did the other staff members), but it is one of the very big forum sites. I just realized it also has resources including cash like few. I mean there are ~100,000 forums but how many of them are so big and offer prizes , etc. I don't know the sponsor but it made me think of 1 thing, just sharing that with you, not that I expect it:

Years ago I used to take part in two tourneys - CoW organized by clan CoW @ Northrend and the other which name I forgot - organized by WCReplays. I also had the opportunity to play vs pro players and I was was like 1/3 of my current skill. They had the cash for prizes - Ipods, headphones, chipsets, keyboard, etc. for the winner.

If a solo tournnament is organized, doesn't have to be weekly, some of the prizes offered for other contests here can be used for a tournament. This will increase the number of members, players, soloers etc. They will come not just for a tourney but also to hang out. This will bring life to the forum.

Also the same thing can be done for SCII when the game is out - a solo 1 vs1 tourney this is the standard format accepted as E-Sports Gaming, ESL, WC3L and every other game I think. Why because this is where the real skill shows, 2v2 is occassional but 1vs1 is the ultimate format.

I don't allow hacking because there is still ladder and tournament plays going on in this game. This isn't an RPG like Diablo or a dumb brag about stats by using stat hack to cheat like Starcraft. The only hacking I allow is to better performance on the game, like running the game in Widescreen.

It isn't easy to drag members into this forum Impactor. A lot of players out there aren't like you, me, Pan or Theroy. They either do teams or just play it for the dota or customs. If I had more sponsership with the members around me, I would have done that ages ago.

yeah I thought so, and war3 is dying, but it may be done for SCII, who knows. At least I wanted to see passing through someone's mind.

It's not that Wc3 is dying, it's BF itself. We have mostly people requesting help with thier problems with this game, more than we have discussion like you, me, Theroy, Pan and others have.

Ok here is the thing, BFs is one of the good sites for it can offer prizes!!! I know big sites that can't do that.

I've been to WCR and CoW tournaments. Do you think ppl there give a f about what's in the forums? They are only members to play the tournment and not forum members. The people who play are from various clans, realms, and on the last place from the forums. We won't expect them to enter the forums (though there will be some who will start doing it). We will expect them to play the tour and ofc we will have many reg-ed members.

My offer is:

• let's spend some of the prizes BF does for a solo tournament. We can organize one (and if it goes well - more)
• post in WCR, replayers and all possible well-known sites, including bnet channels to sign up for the tournament
• requirements: to register at Battleforums
• suitable date&time
• winner gets the prize (one only)
• grid not to be a thread here, like WCR and CoW the grid to be on separate web page, just the way it is done usually. To make it an offical grid with flag and nick name, etc.
• Prizes: Ipods, headphones, keyboards, mouses
• tournament of at least 32 even 64 players and more

Prizes are important to attract better players to play, and more ppl ofc. We can even create a clan Battleforums with the clan members to be BNet admins of the tournament, who change grid, etc.

That's my great offer, based on previous experience in such tournaments that if you refuse... you will be back to the same staying-in-**** here.

The only reason prizes were given out is because Kinkarso had a sponsor for JACT.com.

And he is doing this forum for financial profit. Your idea sounds good and I can pose it to him, but we may need a new sponsor to provide us with said prizes.

Oh please do offer that to him or link that thread. Even if we do that once - I'm sure at least prizes for a single tour can be found, it will be great. But the idea is for more tha once. CoW made like 100 tourneys and ran out of prizes and said 'bye', we can do that after several, but the idea is more than once, though even once is better than none.

You know pretty well mouses and keyboards are broken easily, ppl will enjoy them. I personally spam the opponent instead of hitting my keyboard. xD

Ok, he should be able to spend for 1 or 2 prizes that can make it 1 tourney. Say bigger prize to winner, smaller to 2nd place, none for 3rd place.

Here is how it can look: A new sub-section to war3 section called Tournaments and where there aren't stickies, threads and posts. It can look like the BFs index - you see announcements, listed signed in players, links to grid, etc. Here is an example of what a page for tournaments shoud look like, nothing to do with the Forum format:

Beat The Creeps! 1.9 Hahah check this out (didn't know it when picking that link), I'm also in the grid and lose in round 2 :/ My best was round 4 but there are very good players there. Also from Jan 2008 (I was still not home and inactive) someone has taken my full nick Impactor, coz that noob in North is not me. Ahah solo 1:4 what a noob to have prolly seen & stolen my nick and made noob stats. My nick was lvl 30 i think in 2007 and then was reset to 0, now that noob is with my nick.

CoW-Turnier Anmeldung

CoW-Turnier Champions

CoW-Turnier Details

These are examples of what web page format a Tournament section should have.

I'd say is mr other admin with that or without? Coz if no, this will be the same crappy place, war3 section. And i'm just throwing this offer, I don't really care so much. It will make me stay more as well as make more ppl come here.
