cj, the chances of any of those runes dropping are UNBELIEVABLY low, no matter where you go. The only high rune that would drop consistly would be Ist from countess, which is about 1:1100. The next up is Gul, which has about a 1:55,000 chance off its best guy, if I remember right.. jahs and vexes are unbelievably low.
The ONLY place where you will find "a lot" of runes is countess, only up to ist. Besides that, any runes you find will be complete luck, which definitely happens, obviously, but maybe only once.
Anyways, other place to bot would be Threshsocket. He, pindle, Frozeinstein, and Snapchip Shatter (a guy in Icy Cellar who is just as hard to kill as frozeinstein) all have very good chances of dropping godlys such as rends, death cleaver for ladder, carapace (and therefore ecara), death's fathom for ladder, and so on. If you are looking for a lot of items I would suggest Andy and Meph, but all the REALLY godly ones, I suggest those 4 (only 2 are bottable) superuniques or killing Baal, who has the best chances. Oh ya, and Duriel drops facets like mad if you want those... nuttin else comes from him though.
And btw, those godly items I said that have the bset chance of dropping off those 4 superuniques.. they are still very low, but because they are so rare they have a very high value.
My overall message: do threshsocket as well as pindle.
