Best equipment

im thinking of starting a novasorc for the soul purpose of pindlerunning. What do you guys think is the best combo for mf but still having the + skills needed and what is a good lvl to be on?

Skillz:

max orb/nova/tstorm/lightning mastery.

put 1 point into shiver armor, static field, mana shield, cold mastery, warmth

you'll obviously have to also put 1 point into all the prerequisites for those skillz.

ITEMS:

UM'd Stormshield, IST'd Oculus, PT'd Shako, Tals ammy, PT'd Tals armor, Tals belt (15%mf), 40% chanceguards, 2x 30% nagels, 50% war travs.

MERC ITEMS:

Ethereal AMN'd Spire of Honor, PT'd Ethereal 50% steelskull, PT'd Tals armor.

this setup will give you about 500% mf and your merc about 200% mf. while also give you max cold/lightning resist and a decent fire resist and your merc will have max fire/cold/lightning resist once he reaches about lvl 85.

also note i didnt list any known hacked items like occy rings. i dont use them. and i dont condone their usage. so i wont list them as items to use in a mf setup.

also once you max orb/nova/tstorm/Lmaster. put the rest of your skill points into static field. this will happen around lvl 85 or so.

usuing what Aris said would get you +7 skills.. .but i'd use 2 SOJs instead of Nagels if ur low lvl.. i'm sure at 90+ u can manage without it but at low lvls the +skills helpswith dmg and the +mana will help alot if you use ENG Shield.

Ok from what I can figure out, if you really wanna do this right, you need 114 str total.

From these items you get:

Shako +2 Str
War Trav +10 Str
Stormshield +30 Str

That's a total of 42 str from items. To hold a stormshield you need 156 strength. 156-42=114. So if you get all those items that Aris has mentioned you could wear them all together if you planned it correctly and got some strength items to put it all on initially.

So my char will have the base stats:

114 Str
25 Dex
??? Vit
??? Eng

I really need to know how much energy we're talking about here to do successful pindle runs over and over with a character described by Aris. The rest of the stats will go into vitality...I think this would make her pretty darn powerful.

Energy = 200+

can't go 114 base str, u can't wear ss until 156, so da +30 ss givez won't matter in this situation.

get as many 7mfscs as possible! 6MFSCS are useless dont use em, every 7, you loose 7 mf... Plus if ur too poor for this build, you shouldn't be MFing until you get good at trading. NovaSorc scrept in JEDi works fine.

energy pidnling = useless, bots heal at malah aftet this, you WONT run out at base.
DEX=Enuf with +20 from tals belt for AliBaba ist-Ist
Strength=base unless u want SS (dunno why, I never get killed with high vit)

The goal is more than just hella-mf... its lotsa vit and resists, yes resists.. Pindle hits zilch-nadda-nothing physical, or else u wont feel it. Thats ehere SS becomes useless and UM/Ptopaz lidless/whistans becomes the better shield (skill/castrate and whistans is best block/speed shield and low-reqs)

Those are my unmodified stats btw....with all my gear I have 157 str, enough to use stormshield and everything else while giving myself more room for vitality.

lol shit man, u need to calm yer ass down. newb? no. newb to pindle? yes. been playin since classics, and didnt' decide to use pindle until last friday, getting bored wit da game. ey, i'm saying, go wutever u want, my setup workz fine for me, and i'm fine wit it. never diez, so dat'z enuf for me. instead of throwing out assumptions and criticism, u need to tink in a more open way...it'z all revolved around opinionz..wutever workz for u, good for u. wutever workz for someone else, good for them.

also, 200+ energy is practically like vita if u use nrgy shield. takes off mass mana instead of life, just a substitution for life...

Ok I'm a newb...make sure you have enough str to equip your highest requirement item with all of your magic items added to base. For instance you cannot boost your str enough to equip the stormshield and take it all off expecting the +30 str from the shield to keep working....it doesn't. However, if your lesser str req. items boost you to 156 str for the shield then it's fine. You just cannot rely on the str of the shield to get you to the req OF the shield. Hope that made some sense....

EDIT:

With my stormshield I would have 157 str. But since my total strength with the shield is lower than requirements to wear it I don't get the +30. It's too bad. I was hoping I could equip it and then just keep it that way.

one thing on mercs, i read somewhere (i forget) that the merc has your mf plus the mf he has. yet you don't get your merc's mf added to yours. thus this meens your merc has more mf than you do.
