Hmmm... It has to be between Sunken and Bunker. Sunkens do 40 damage I think, and self regenerate, but Bunkers can dish out damage to multiple targets while it has a good bit or HP and can be repaired by SCV's. So I voted Bunker.

A zerg probarbly couldnt survive without sunkens... On the other hand they cant attack air and they dont detect. I think the cannon is the best defence building, allthough the sunken makes a much bigger difference on the way the game is played.

Also Bunkers can do several different Major attacks Canister rifle, Gauss rifle, and Flame thrower

I use missile turrets for offence more than for defence...

Photon cannons are to easy to destoy so whoever voted for them is wrong (Nuke=Destroyed cannons)

Yea. One tank owns 300 000 000 000 000 cannons, so why waste 200 gas & minerals?
Although there is no harm in using a nuke on a protoss player who more-than-likely builds lots of cannons on the front line. Much easier than tanks. Less micro/macro or whatever (i dont really know what they mean, they sound cool though!:p)

Or just take a few battle cruisers and Yamato the pylons umless of course there not a newb and cluster pylons

If you were to Yamato a pylon, the pylon is usually behind the cannons. So the cannons will deal about 100-200dmg before you run away. Yamato isn't that large a range.

Cannons are the most balanced and cheapest of all the buildings selected for choice. Think about it when you make a cannon you have the allround ability of being able to target ground and air units. None of the others can target both ground or air with the exeption of the Bunker where if you think about it costs 200 after you have built it and fille dit with marines.

Eitherway why use cannons when you can just use mobile cannons =Goons.

Cannons are helpfull for a bit of extra defence I like to have a few around my mineral line for the extra security. :)

cannons can attak air and ground and detect cloacked untis which sunkins and bunkers cant do id think that is help full

Lots of things can stop cannon defences. Reavers, tanks and guardians have longer range than cannons so they can kill them without taking a single hit.

I know there is a way around everything so shut up for crying out loud. Cannon D is the best though because its cheap, attacks air and ground, and is a detector. And nukes who cares about a nuke. Sometimes it would take 50 nukes to get through some defenses. Also I will have a detector and kill your ghost with a zlot. Or howabout this, you sit around and nuke my front photon cannons with a ghost while I attack your command center with my carriers. Or dark templar. See lots of ways around it.

dude cannons are cheap enough so u can just rebiuld them right after the nuke they are evry thing in 1 who cares if here attack is weaker stronger than a bunker with basic mariens in them!

U wont have time to rebuild them, if the defence is gone and u have no units ur dead. Thats why mass defences dont work.

mass D in nonmoney map, you die.
mass D in money map, your teammates die.
mass D in 1vs1 any map, you get overflooded.

who the hell wastes time to nuke big lands of cannons, just ****in tank them. i dun believe mass D can buy you enuf time to go carriers. only possible in team games @ moneymap and ur teammates make units to buy you time (and then ur teammates will all die before you cuz u dun make shit to attack or help in early-mid game)

who the hell will let a ghost stand there alone and easily noticed, AND let it die by a zealot? who the hell is going to give u 1943723 minutes to mass carriers?
