Barb PvM

[Aqua-THF]

Im making an unconventional Barb. He will use a polearm. This is my equipment idea so far:

Wep: Ethereal BoTD Great Poleaxe - Trying something a little different
Helm: Arreats - This helm has got it all
Ammy: Metalgrid - This has Resists, shit load of AR, and shit load of Def
Armor: CoH - Resists, DR, Def
Rings: 2 Raven Frosts - AR, Dex, Cold Absorb
Gloves: Steelrend - Crushing Blow, Str, Dmg
Boots: Gorerider - Best melee boots?
Belt: Thundergods Vigor - Really nice belt, could be better, suggestions?

He will reach the last breakpoint of WW and the Poleaxe does over 900 damage on its own. Thinking Act 2 might merc with the Pole that gives Conc. This should make for major damage. Skills:

20 WW
20 Pole Mast
20 Shout
20 BO
1 for Pre-Reqs
Rest in Iron Skin

His resistances will be maxed in hell, with cold and light absorb to boot. He will have over 14k defense with shout, maybe more. Just want some opinions.

Stats:
Str: Least amount as possible
Dex: Least amount as possible
Vit: Rest
Nrg: None

I know not having a shield will mean Ill get hit a lot more. Im hoping my defense and leach will be enough to make up for this. Besides, Im on USEast NL and my account name is Titty-Bang. The characters name is Pole-Dancing. He is currently 38. I also play HC Ladder but am taking a break as my 87 Necromancer has just perished.

on melee chars ive always liked verdungos, but its your choice if you need the light absorb or not, otherwise, the dr + lots of vit will help lots

Ya..this Barb isn't for PvP, so a Raven Spiral/other nice ring would do well in the long run I think.

get a perf bk ring for the second ring, for the +1 to wc's and it gives 5%ll, awsome for barbs, i had 2 on my frenzy barb and he pwned everything in hell. and for your wcs, dont get 2 wc weps if your thinkin of usin him to rush at times, get 2 hotos for the fcr, its godly when you rush. as for the belt, get a nosforetus, for the ias and some ll, its quite nice for pvm.
