it is my thought that behind the banning of a lot of d2 acounts is the fact that bnet wants players to switch games.
WoW costs a lot to play. and it generates a lot of income for blizzard intertainment. they might want all the players to switch to WoW by banning a lot of players(includeing the people that claim to be the inocent ones).
now it might also be a strategy to get people to re-buy d2. thier sales are probobly down by a long shot. so it might have been an idea to get sales up agian.
by re-buying d2, you are setting yourself up for the pain of getting the game agian. you are also doing what bnet probobly wants you to do if you don't get WoW.
by banning people every so often, they get the people that are hooked on thier game to contantly re-buy thier game.
don't be a sucker, and quite d2 like you should.
