Bandwith Question

At university you are allowed 2000mb per week bandwith limit
A while ago i asked how much that was, and soemone said thats huge and i should have no problems doing what i do....
well i got a question.... what about for xbox live? is there no prob with that? like on that limit... ? sorry i dont know about these topics

I have no idea, nor do I think anyone knows what your university offers. Sorry hun, I don't think we have the answer to this one. Unless Jason knows. He's uber smart.

Its just like WoW I believe, and it communicates to the server using small packets of information to relate where each player in the game is and what they're doing. These packets are virtually negligable in size, so I'd think you would be safe as 2GB/Week seems like a large limit. I'll put it this way, you ought to be in the clear.

it should be fine. packets and whatnot use a VERY small portion (if anything) of bandwith. however, downloading updates (maps, extra game stuff, etc etc) could overlimit you.


1024kb = 1mb
1024mb = 1gb


most packets (if not all) send well under 1mb of space. you have 2gigs of space to use.
