Aye.. few trapsin questions..

Long time no see. Came back to find somebody in power changed my title and sig :-/

Anyhow, i'm planning on making a trapsin as you may have gathered from the title of this thread. My question is: Are trapsins still using SS/Hoto? Just came back from "quitting" and i haven't seen any trappers so i'm not sure.

Also.. I scanned the stickies for this info but couldnt find it (possibly because it is 1am.) but I was wondering how much dexterity my ASN would need to have at lvl 85 for max block.. (perhaps somebody could do the formula for me?- Im terrible with math)

Perhaps i could get the req dex for a druid at 85 too?

Few questions:

Why would a trapper use Hoto?
Why does a trapper need block?

Trappers use either duel 3+ to all traps, or I've heard of people using 3+ all traps and 3+ light sentry on one claw, so duel of those and yea. Trappers don't need SS for blocking i don't think. With Enigma they can tele around and not get hit as much. But you could have Hoto/SS to reduce damage on second hand instead of a Lidless and a CTa. I'd go with the CTA/Lidless on second hand, and the trap claws I said above for primary.

well, i remember that when I quit, almost every trapper I saw was using hoto/SS..

anyhow, i've decided on making a window druid. they use max block with ss, don't they?

facets don't lower the resist, but it does increase the lightning dmg doesn't it?

PvP = uses max block/ss.
PvM = uses lidless w/o max block.

No. If you see improved damage on the skill, it's a screen bug.

Test it with an editor, and you'll concurr with me about it.

yeah i remember the hoto/ss trapsin..they dont do that nemore..trap claws r now cheep and easy to get and u get +6 instread of only +3..yeah..

Tell me the shield you want to use with your druid, I'll just apply teh blocking formula.

Blocking formula is:

Effective Blocking % = [Blocking from gear x (Dexterity – 15)] / (Character Level x 2)

You will need about 175 dex

Thanks. That's a lot of deterixy for a caster though. I suppose I'll have sage so it wont be too bad.
