Arrrgg Help Me Plz!!!!!!!!!plz!!!!

i cant get d2 to start i just cant. it just wont work.
when i put cd in it says that i need to put the play cd in and i do but it says to put the play cd in. so i reinstalled but it still dont work. so i got the d2loader. it wont work. when i start the game nothing happens. there is just and hour glass next to the mouse for a second and then it is gone. PLZ HELP!!!!!

ok ive tried to reinstal the game. dont work. i didnt get it from kazaa. i got it from... hehe cant tell ya sorry...(btw its my bro's game and well he doesnt feel like getting another one) my comp can read the cd but when i didnt have d2loader it said to put the play cd in but i was! i cleaned it and cleaned! but it still couldnt recognize it. well i jsut rebooted my comp and im going to try it. if that dont work then i shall reinstall d2loader, but what if it doesnt work. what if i went to all this trouble for nothing?!ARRRGGG IM SO FRUSTRATED!!

okay, did you burn a 2nd copy of the disk? the burn probably failed or your cd drive wont read it becuase you didnt close the disk or you dont have it in a burner drive (if its not closed and you have one). also, if you did not burn it, its probably scratched and your cd drive wont read it

Hum, perhaps you have corrupted registry entries. Before you do that however, uninstall, then be sure to delete the diablo 2 directory!!! Sometimes annoying files are left there that interfer with running when you reinstall. If that doesnt work you will probably need to open regedit and delete all the blizzard keys since one or more of them is probably messed up.

The reason i think it is messing up is because some of your registry entries are saying that it is a different version than you have installed, basically confusing the hell out of your computer.

Also, if you just brought the game, then perhaps your system CANT handle it, if this is the case set your virtual memory settings to 2x the ram you have in your computer and see if that helps any. Also mess around with cd read speeds and see if any of them make a difference. Good luck...
