Badlands Terrain

Story (Pending)

Never thought you would be in such a situation. You seen it in movies, read about it in books, but never did prepare yourself for this.

Five Hydrogen Bombs were dropped on the United States of America. We dont know who, but we believe its one of the comunist or middle eastern parties. We were lucky to be in Canada. We weren't affected much, but the after effects are. The sky never shines anymore.

In seattle people are looting everywhere, things are begining to get out of control. Even worst, two more bombs where dropped, on eastern Canada. No one knows why, we were in peace with everyone. The fallout is growing. No one cares anymore about the rules of society, the rules that blind us from the faults we always had. Now we are experiancing all of it. Its every man for himself. We can no longer stay in out basements, food is running low, we must go outside, and face the terror.

Features
2-4 Players
Small World, but requires you to revisit many parts.
A duck and cover system
Virtual Health (Allowing sounds when you get hit, and many other things)
Weapon system (grenades, Rockets)
Gun shops
Item shop (painkillers/Med Kit)

Duck and Cover Sytem
I created and perfected this system in another map but I dont want to finsih it. ITs pretty much finished excep for missions.
Anyways, Basically you find and object such as a building, boxes, a car, and when you are behind it, it will say you can duck there. You can select duck with the action menu and when ducking you be harder to hit. Once duck you can also scroll though your arsenal (right now i only have a grenade system) and use your aimer to aim and activate your weapon (in this case you will throw a grenade killing nearby enemies.) You cant use your main weapon.
You stand back up, simply walk away from the object.


Virtual Health

With a virtual health system, so far...
There will be a bleed effect when u get hit, and a few painful sounds
You will walk slower when you are low on health
Life can be deducted and gained easily.


Screenshots

I'm still planing the map and making ideas. I may have a few on the 5th of November.
Dont expect perfect blending, just sky scrapers roads, and one story intereior buildisngs.

This is were the radiation is as high as man can tolerate. Go any farther and you die

Terrain-50% (i'll mostly use the terrain i finsihed from my previous unfinsihed project)
Triggers-20% (The system is finished)
Everything else-1%

When ducked, using heal will heal all units including Greg at grenade targeter.

Unit: Dragoon
Health: 100
Damage: 150
Damage recieve: 4 per hit

Power Hit
Damage doubles/triples for one shot.

Enemies

Unit: Terran Infantry
Health: 100
Special Ability:
Group
They tend to attack in groups., killing you quickly. Always find cover and grenade these guys. They are also vulnerable to the elements as you are.

Newman
Unit: Terran/Zerg Infantry
Health: 600
Special Ability:
Varies
These guys are rare, but dangerous. Like you they have heightened senses and special abilityies, gifts of the fallout.

Gang
Unit: Terran/Zerg Infantry
Health: 100-400
Special Ability:
none
They tend to attack from all sides, buildings, anywhere. These guys are the reason of the destructiveness of the city. Don't get on thier wrong side and you wont have too much trouble.

Mutants
Unit: Protoss/Zerg Infantry
Health: 100-5000
Special Ability:
Varies
The deviated offspring of the fallout. Avoid them by avoiding the badlands and fringes.

D&C system
I think thers a demo of it somewhere called city of deuce. Search for it.
It doesnt work well in that map (sicne you have to progress thourgh map to use full features, but the trigger is there.

Assitance Wanted
Interested in this project? Become an assistance. You will be credited
As an assistnace you will
-Test map mainly
-edit minor terrain detail (such as cracks on the floor or mistakes)
-Place sprites for minor detail
-Duplicate triggers

Requirements
-Know how to use the pallete and copy&paste (create brush) in starforge or stardraft
-Know how to make triggers. (You dont need to know alot, I will give you a trigger and basically you reproduce it, I could use a program but i dont want to learn)
-Musn't share unprotect versions of map

I don't need an assistance for this project but i would appreciate one.
