I was talking to a friend of mine who works at a movie theatre about District 9. After awhile, he brought up New Moon and showed me this link.

Now I look at some of these stories..... and they are completly fucked up.

It's just amazing how far some fangirls will go just to protect their precious books.

Hell, when I saw District 9 today (was awesome), some chicks (probably in thier high teens) got together in front of the New Moon poster in the Coming Soon boards and did sexy/lust poses over it. Makes me wonder what could have happened if I said something about it...

I really am not that surprised this crap would happen. Girls in medical school even talk about these shitty ass books. Even one of my good guy friends is into this series. Unfortunately, I wateched the movie twilight out of pure curiousity...It didn't suck as bad as a lot of the movies I have watched, but I don't see a reason to become obsessed with it. I think it just targets specific emotions in girl's minds that get them all obsessive and psycho lol

Morbid character type with suspense - morbid + female writer (OH YA IT CONTRIBUTES, not sexist though) + that guy from Hp + bejewel him + some girl who can't really act much, except when she acts constipated + a dad you feel sorry for + a homey group of mix-match family for edward, including a modernly dressed guy with his hair slicked back, a pissed off rager, and that 'cute' girl with playful spiky hair + north-west America where everything looks like it's ran by old people (which promotes angst) + what the hell kind of vampire drives a jeep when he is uber fast and still uber fast when he;s got some chick on his back + no one dies in the entire series (failure score given by anyone who knows anything about writing).

tl;dr Stephanie does not get it.
