Sadly, it was so gay; you could only control 4 units in one subgroup.

It is a good game. Hard to control units, but it had some neat ideas, and it spawned a huge following for strategy games

Well, I guess the difficulty of controlling units was a challenge. I like RTS with good unit control like wc3 and C/C Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2.

yua Hellwolf, but those are all current games, for its time, WC1 was a masterpeice, and helped create a big RTS following. I mean, who isn't gunna' like War3 over games like War1, it's common snese.

havent play wc1 in soooooo long, man maybe i should start again :0 but its sooo much harder than other rts

As I said, mostly because of 4 men and the fact all units walked really slow.
