Diablo II Realm Maintenance

In order to address the missing character issues some users have experienced, extended realm maintenance is required. Each realm will be taken offline for approximately 24 hours, but not all simultaneously. The schedule for the first round of realm maintenance is:

The USWest realm will be unavailable until approximately 1800 Friday, January 17 UTC (10:00 A.M. PST).

The Asia2 realm will be unavailable starting 2230 Thursday, January 16 UTC (0730 Friday, January 17 KST) for approximately 24 hours.

The Europe realm will be unavailable starting 0100 Friday, January 17 UTC for approximately 24 hours.

NOTE: If you have previously created a character on a realm that is not offline for maintenance, you can play that character. If you do not have such a character, you can play Open Battle.net games. To access Open Battle.net: select "Other Multiplayer" from the main Diablo II menu, and then select "Open Battle.net". You should login with your usual Battle.net account. The game will then ask you to create a new character (which is stored locally on your system, rather than on Battle.net).

the patch should be fun. im playing ladder. my friend is trying to trade hack everything he can before the patch comes out. :-\ I used to be super rich compared to him, now he has 2 dozen WF's

If it is the new patch *fingers crossed* it looks like uswest will get the first taste, they are down right now and open some time tomorow morning.
i read that message on bnet, didnt even think of posting it.

i sure hope so. I think us west is beyond repairs in terms of hacking. Everyone has hella good stuff. Its hard to find anyone above level 85 who doesnt have wf or ith bow or whites. Or maybe thats just my opinion. But everybody i meet has those stuff so i think a new patch is a good thing

Uswest i terrible for hacking, i agree with judge_dee, i was doing cows with my lvl 78 zon, and some guy says "is that wf or ith", didnt even think of the possibility that it may not be one of the two.

geez, bnet seems to be sucking lately. All of yesterday on starcraft I couldn't even make a game. Things have always known to be worst on diablo servers though. Too bad for bnet, 24 hours downtime?!
