eww...phpbb has NO administrative options hardly at all. i have invision 1.3 for Death by Design Forums and i use vbulliten 2.3.3 for BloodTech.com forums. Invision CAN be free and it has all the options you need just about, vbulliten costs a godly amount of money unless you um...yeah, and its got even more options.

I belive that Battle Forums is built around Phpbb?

BF is built around vBulletin, a phenominal cash cow.

GX is built around InvisionBoard. InvisionFree has plenty of options.

and as for invision being better, looks wise, you havent seen a good vb board if this is all youve seen, funcionality, vb pwns ipb anyday

I use phpbb, usually the best. But it is hard to change the look and templates though.

I was thinking of PHPbb being used because that was what bones was using when i saw it (Bones was a forum to test a skin for a forum here)
