Annoying Problem

I followed cms guide to playing d2 without a cd sort of. The cd-key refiller wouldn't work so I had to do it sort of diffrent, but now everytime I try and start d2 even with the disk in it says 'Please insert Cd' 7 or 8 times before it acctually launches d2. It isn't that horrible but it is quite annoying. If anyone knows how to fix it I would be very appreciative.

Just copy d2xmusic.mpq d2xvideo.mpq and d2xtalk.mpq from your cd and paste it in your d2 directory.

or simply start d2loader with the paramter -nonotify

I started d2 right after making this thread and it worked fine. I think it likes to **** with me....

Blizz put it on your disc because they have secret future sight and saw that you were goin to buy that specific copy.

It was my girl friends disk not mine.

Put any disc inside your cd-drive, and it won't bitch. It will keep bitching like that if you don't have a CD inside the drive, no matter if it should be D2's or some DVD full of gay pr0n

i think its a random glitch with no cd crack, cause i had the same problem when i first installed it, but now it works fine (after about a week it just quit doing it)

i had the same problem and i uninstalled my hacks and diablo 2 exp then installed them all again and worked fine
