Hey everyone, I know that a TON of people are rerolling to these recently announced PVP Roleplaying servers. Anyhow, I decided to start a guild on the new server when it's released, so I got a site and some forums up and posted on my realm forums. I got a great response, and several people decided to come with me. I'm posting here so I can obviously get some more experienced players to come with us.
I've been trying to plan this out for the last couple of days. Our guild will be an all around guild, and I'll try to make everyone happy. I'd be lying if I was to say this is going to be a "pure PvP" guild, because almost every new guild on a new server claims to be a PvP guild. But what we WILL have in the guild will be a variety of things. Though most of us are new to Roleplaying, we'll have a RP chat channel set up, as well as RP parties at a tavern at least once a week, though guild chat will remain fairly normal. There may even be some guild marriages ;D. We'll also have a profession system for those who are willing to work at their professions. And since a lot of people coming with me are big PvPers, we'll have guild Battleground runs and capital city raids (at least when the DK system is fixed).
And let's not forget Molten Core. I've had some experience in MC, killed a bunch of bosses, but I haven't actually fought Ragnaros himself. I know how challenging it can be to lead a raid group of 40 people into MC, and it requires a lot of close control (and Teamspeak/Ventrilo channel, which is already set up for some guildies of mine). We plan on having a raid points system, which is similar to the DKP system. I'm not exactly sure how it'll work, but I'm hoping to eliminate the flaws in the DKP system so casual players won't have to do hours and hours of MC to get some loot. If anyone has ideas for a good MC loot system, let me know
The site I have up right now will be a temporary site, but it serves as a decent temporary one. The scripts used on our site are mainly for managing the DKP or RP of a guild, and we plan on using it to manage end game raids in the future. The new site I'm working on will have a great new template, easy ways to join/arrange events, and, of course, a login feature with individual, in-depth profiles.
Anyhow, here are the basic details about our guild:
Guild name: <Fugitives>
Faction: Alliance
Server name: COMING SOON (Will be announced on the site's main page, our forums, and in this thread)
My new character's name: Cmninety
Website: http://fugitives.myexh.com
Forums: http://www.fugitives.myexh.com/forums/index.php
If you'd be interested in joining, here are some ways to do so:
1) Post a reply here with this information:
-Your NEW character's predicted name, class, and storyline/background.
-Any experience you've had in MC or Onyxia's Lair.
-Your planned professions, and whether or not you'll actually work at them.
-Your email address if possible, so I can make sure everyone knows about this.
2) Email me at cm90wx@gmail.com. Even if you haven't decided on these things, let me know, and I'll keep you up to date on what's going to happen.
3) Send me an in-game mail or tell. I currently play on Firetree on the Horde side.
4) Post on the "Join" forum on our guild forums (http://fugitives.myexh.com/forums). Please follow the guidelines listed here: http://fugitives.myexh.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2
I've been leading a clan/guild for almost 3 years now, and I can promise you that I'll make every effort to make this guild as successful as possible. Whatever you do, see you guys on the new server!
