I need help for the AI on a map im making. The map im working on is like the game OMFG THE ZERGLINGS where u have to bulid a defence to protect you from hordes of zerglings. im making a similar one except the units at battle cruisers. for the zerglings ones the AI script "send units on random suiside mission" works fine. But for the battle cruiser one it doenst works because they BC just fly over turrets and such and dont do anything. i cant seem to find anything that it will go to location "red base" attacking anything on the way or somthing simmiar.

that's not an ai script. The action "Order" is used to do this, you tell them to go to a location and attack any enemys on the way.

Also, if the bcs were flying over the turrest it might mean that they were allied with you...

no they whent allyed. It was random they would fly over the turrets and attack the one in the middle then sit there for a minute and go across the map through hordes or dragoons and kill a photon cannon then they die. but thanks for telling me that my map is now useing that idea now and im gona test it soon. im assuming this is like when u select a bunch of rines and hit "A" and click on the mini map where the enemys base is theyll attack everything on the way.

um i tryed doing what u said. they where still as stupid as possible but they were a whole lot smarter then before. the ppl who played my map wernt the nicest people ever. they kept saying it sucked. it got really annoying after a while. i tryed really hard to make a good hard map. it was a bit harder then OMFG the firebats to. and it was designed for 6 people not 3. at first in 5 minutes theres only 6.....they complained thats 1 bc for every one. OMG the people on in the morning are very annoying and disrespectful:(

bcs are strong.. you have to remember that most pepople want to b able to beat something somehow...


To make them much smarter do this:

Make a location over each of the human base areas and then a location in the center of the map, and a location at the bcs spawn point. Like this:

0 0
0 0 0
0 0

0

then in game, order the bcs to attack to the center, then split up ot the bases spretelly.

For e.g.:

Player 8 brings 6 bcs to "center"
Player 1 controls at least 1 unit
---
Order 1 bcs to "player 1 base"

then once they are in the base, order them to wait for a few seconds, and then order them to attack back to the center.


Not sure if that'll work for you.. byut you can try.

he tried but it seems they didn't work. BCS don't work well with random suicide missions.

you dont get it the random suiside mission does work. but they are soooo stupid. lets say the following dyagram is a base and the X is where the battle cruiser attack and T means turret

|T T T T T|
------------
and while its killing the middle one the other turret kill it while its going there. BC are really easy to kill when they not attacking anything
