Advice on warlock

I've decided that my alt is going to be a warlock,but i keep having second thoughts about it, seeing how priest are much better in their own ways (dont know why) but whoever here is a good level lock tell me your thoughts on how pve and pvp is ,and simple stradegies you use .

I always wanted to make a lok because of the infernals. I'd just go into stormwind or ironforge and reign one down then leave.
