Act 2 Merc

Since im going to make a MF orb sorc, I was wondering if I should get a act 2 defiance merc or an act 2 holy freeze. I'm leaning toward defiance, because my orb will be freezing all the enemies so i wouldn't need holy freeze. What do you people think?

Also, what would be the best item set up for an act 2 tank merc?

i prefer act 5 hirelings, better meat shield, faster attack speed

Act 2 merc with defiance is a lot better.

And generally, act 2 mercs are better than Act 5 ones, cuz Act 2 mercs can use the unique Thresher, the best tank weapon for a merc of the whole game.

Act 3 / 5 mercenaries, imho, have a sense only if they use Azurewrath, to keep undead monsters far from you while teleporting (especially stygian dolls).
