Accessing Battle.net

Recently bought Diablo II, but at the startup screen the battle.net option and multiplayer option are "greyed" out and i cant get on battle.net. I even did an online registration. Any ideas?

what type of game did you install (there are 3 types: single, multi, and everything, which is just multiplayer install with the cinematics added)? i bet you only installed single. if you only install single, you can't play online. you have to delete it and reinstall it, this time under multiplayer. the full install is mainly a waste of room.....

and what does registering do, anyway? other than suck some money out of your wallet, that is.

No if u regester and u have ur account stolen they can get it back to u within hours!..and sometimes have it backloged to the last time it was saved and recover most of your items..i have had it happen before..there quite good!
