Access violation

I have installed the Devil's Uprising mod using the instructions on the install page. When I load the game using the new shortcut it works for about 30 seconds then I get a access violation and the game shuts down. i created a new character when I started the mod.

Windows XP Pro

Target: "M:\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -direct -txt
Start in: "M:\Diablo II\Mods\Devils"
