Absorb %

Ok so I was skimming through the forum and I saw someone say that the max % of absorb gear is only 40%? Is this true, and if it is why when I have on enough gear to absorb 95% lightning damage does a trapsin doing 14k damage hardly scratch me at all when I'm standing in the middle of like 10-15 traps?

thats not absorb when you have 95%. thats adding to max resistance. just as good but a different stat. i can't answer about max absorb.

Yes, max absorbs is 40%. That's to prevent people from getting 50% or more absorbs making sorcs utterly useless.

yea thats 40% damage thats going to heal you, and factored in with lightning resistances the damage dealt by the sin is nerfed drastically
