First of all, I'm aware that you're supposed to post your replays in the strategy section.. but no one seems to go there very often, and I would like some feedback. If you have to move it, go to hell :(.

Me and a friend of mine decided to play a game of SC; unfortunately, he didn't have Broodwar installed, so we had to play in Starcraft Original. We're both mega noobs (Both of use rarely ever play, although we used to be good a long time ago). We played on the Bloodbath map (One of my favorites), and we both selected "Random" as our race.

Anyway, my APM was probably like.. 2.. so you don't need to tell me how bad I am. After I found out he was the Protoss, I decided that since the Terran have some very good defensive capabilites (As far as I can remember), I would just build up some hot defense and wait until he ran out of money. It sort of worked.

Anyway, considering I haven't played in a year, I thought I did pretty good.

You actually did do pretty good. The early expanding, the turrets, most people would be clueless on makin a defence after an attack, especially if they haven't played for a ywar or so. I also liked how your SCV viciously and bravely cut his dragoon for at least 40 damage before they killed it. Enjoyable to watch, this replay is. =)

Thanks ^.^. I thought it was a pretty good game. I'm not a bad player or anything, it's just my lack of experience. I did make some pretty good decisions though:

  • It's hard to notice, but if you pay attention, you'll notice that I tucked one of my SCVs into the upper left corner after my first based was destroyed. After watching the replay, I noticed that he had a zealot placed near the entrance to the upper left quadrant, but he never suspected that I already had an extra SCV up there. Probably the best thing I did in the game.
  • I also figured he would probably try to do another reaver drop (God I hate those) so I thought if he managed to get past my outer turret defense, he would just run into more near my command center.

Yeah. That SCV allowed you to make a new base since his Zealots wern't within view range. They were hanging around the abandoned machine shop that he forgot to destroy. That was a smart move on your part but I didn't notice him scouting at, so you could have done basically anything and cought him off guard. =P
