when you play pool (billiards) the way you hit a cue ball can effect the ball it hits. If you hit it on the left side of the cue the ball it hits will go ride... its all about the spinning of the cue..... anyway this is called english. And the harder you hit the cue ball the more english you give the cue... so take it from there.
