this is getting bad..i keep mfing pindle, i try to do mef on hell ..but i can only get him on nightmare..i suck so bad..and pindle drops crap..i don't see how i get rich off this..i can't get the proper gear to mf..i must have to mf night and day in order to get the decent stuff i s'pose..n e suggestions?? i'm desperate

melee is not very good for pindle because of stun

make fire sorc, do river meph in hell, get some items, get gears for ur act 2 FREEZING merc, go to pindle, do mf, get stuff, make new chars, pwn baal, get to lvl 99, gl to you padawan.

here's the thing i started with my assassin
i built her up and thought hey..i'll use her...so i did for mf for a bit
had about 130% mf on her or so..found a few (CRAP) things from pindle
went to free games tossed em for the other noobs..(i visit those quite often myself lol)
then i thought i'd build a pally....needless to say my hammeriden paladin is still completely naked..that is his items suck rectum
...then i went the route that most pple do...sorc
i have a lev 78...(i think) fire sorc...w/ 1 in orb..about 600 defense
so i got a defiance merc..freezing is prob better ..now that i think about it...esp for those darn lil skeleton things in durance of hate
i look around and there's like 30 of em humping my leg. Needless to say, I die.
Anyways now i have about 200% total mf.
gear
mf switch = gull dagger + 100 mf, (set shield gives 20 to mf..) i forgot name
armor = ghost shroud thing +1 to skills + (a whopping ) 0% mf
ammy = + 1 to sorc skills + 24 to mf
rings = 1 x nagel ring +28% mf, 1 x magic ring +20%mf
boots = random rare set of boots + 22 % mf
helm = + 2 fire skills rare helm + 0 % mf

i can handle nm mef..but like i said..hell mef is too much right now..if i could get to him i could take him..(moat trick) but appreciate the help guys..btw nice strats on forums..they help me out a lot..good work guys *thumbs up*

well, if nm meph works better for you (meaning faster kill) than go for it, u can still get stuff like vamp gaze from it.
However, try hell meph (river mephing) with meteor and some mana pots. And dont make merc for mephing... mercs suck VS meph.. only use them for pindle.. they need to tank for ya.

I remember when I had 25 mf and skulders dropped from meph. Then it just took off from there. I'm not even using it now!!

Maybe so. Maybe I'm just getting discouraged. But like I said, I have killed pindle (on nm, but MOSTLY hell), prob around 300 + times, and I've found Tiamat's Rebuke, and a few other elite items (not worth mentioning). I also River Mephed (teleport across moat so meph can't get u, council sometimes make it difficult on me but i manage) on hell about 10 times. I found naj's staff. Lol. Seems like I'm just not having any luck what so ever, I'm trying to do more mephisto runs, since my pindleskin runs didn't offer much. Thx for the advice guys. I'll just go do some more runs, and beg my friends and see if they help me out a bit. lol Thx again.

only 10 times? cmon man, ive done these things that you've said, prob around 3000 times or even more (i never used bot yet, hoping to use it).. since ive been doing tehse ever since LoD came out... you jus gotta be patient and do more. Or you can jus turn of bot all night like my freinds lol.

my suggestions:
-make a fire sorc, and kill meph. You can get shakos and stuff from him (with patience.)

-if you cannot afford good mf stuff find socketed gear and fill it with topaz's.

-you have to try more than 10 times. It took me 100+ runs just to find a friggin shako.

*edit: somebody said no merc. i found when i was a lower lvl, even though my merc died often, he saved my ass when i would accidently tele into a pile of those fanatic midget thingys. he's a useful distraction. he wont die if you tele across the river either.*

^^ its been said.. anyways, yea merc is definitely needed for all chars.. see i had to leave for bit when i was in middle of pindle run... so i turned my monitor off, and went somewhere, which took about 5min, came back, and my merc killed everything for me... how nice isnt it?

SO HAVE MERC!!! FREEZING MERC FOR SORC AND MIGHT FOR OTHER PPL AND DEF MERC FOR ZEALDIN!
