Well lets hit it off with those popular 500 signs threads again!
I'll start off.


1. You're quote under your avatar says: Total Newbie or Newblar
2. You post a thread asking for major help and you pm everybody asking for their help
3. Your first map sucked so much, bnet banned it from being played.


I guess this thread could be 500 signs that your map is really bad. This was bolt head's idea from BlizzF. Sorry Bolt but since you copy my idea, I copy your idea.

If this thread contains spam or other stuff that doesn't relate to the thread, I will close this thread for a couple days and let it rest. Then I'll open it back up. So this means, don't post spam like:
4. stuff happens
5. you die
6. you get drained down your toilet
7. Master Virus is da best person I know, He's greater than my mom!

11. You might be a newb map maker if your spelling, grammer, and punctuation are AWFUL!!! A few misses here and there are nothing, but when one makes a map, even the useless chit-chat that occurs or the useless INCOMING message should be spelled CORRECTLY so long as it is the FINAL VERSION. Of course, the majority of people on Bnet think "cum" is the correct spelling for "come" (sorta disgusting and sad to think of our "intelligent" and "beloved" American culture mixing up the slang version with the correct one...I thought our literacy rate was 91% or something! What's going on here!) and "loose" is the correct spelling for "lose," so I guess it's just a pet peeve of my own and goes rarely noticed by others.
12. People who try to make those extra colors and crap like that on their text and screw it up in their final version.

Okay, first of all you guys didn't read his post that well... his 4-7 were examples...
4. You edit an unprotected map and call it your own.
5. You include no locations or briefing in your UMS map.
6. You don't know what Map Utility to use to stack.
7. You don't know what SCXE is.

Hey, I know that 4-7 were examples, its just I followed off of that one guy. So don't blame me.

And number seven I think would be the complete opposite. If you don't know what SCXE is, then you haven't had any need for it and are usually very skilled with the normal editor. Once again, it goes back to my "simple but well-crafted" idea. Let me give an example. You have two things, a fire and a broken stove. The fire is the Staredit map, while the broken stove is the overcluttered, poorly created SCXE map that a person thought they could get away with just because it was a cool editor. Now, back to the analogy. Which is going to heat water better? I would have to say that the fire would work better.

13. Adding a hidden unit to make "Don't look at the dot!" is your idea of a good map.

Dont think much about it, it's kind of hard to think of a lot. Besides, just about everyone that comes here once did or does.
