The color is cool...I would have gone with red, maybe. The name can be there or not...overall up to an 8/10. The color does help it.

EDIT: As an afterthought...the reason you may not be happy with it is that the orange and the name color is a little too similar. It blurrs and clashes. If you wanted to make it flow more, have the text and pic use different complimentary colors. If you want to use orange for the background, use blue or somethng similar for the text.
