Yeah, that's really high, it probably shouldn't be using up that much memory....But I don't leave it running anyway since my internet sucks even worse than usual if I have anything else open while I'm playing D2

That goes for aim services too, it's been proven that behind-the-scenes aim programs run and extremely lag games.

lol.........mines never interferes with my games....even when im using my gay 56k on my laptop @ school, i dont have a problem.

I use trillian...runs 3 of my messenging programs (MSN, AIM, Yahoo) and it only uses 8,900....dont know what your problem is...

ust turn it off while u play, not very hard

I turn it off when I play for two reasons:

1) Steals memory like pic

2) IMs are annoying during game, especially when they minimize the game (and in my CS, when its gets minimized it gets messed up when I come back)

Yea, I know. It comes out for PS2 tomorrow though, which doesn't use AIM. Anyway, if you're getting it, my friend gave me a WP, which I"m gonna use then my friend will use, and it would be a waste to let 3 perfectly good uses, so if you're creating a char tomorrow, I'll give u a use on the WP (it's for Titan server)

on topic: If I'm playing a game that dosen't take up that much space, I'll just put an away message on. If it's a high priority game, i close AIM.

That high? AIM takes up something like 30MB of RAM, 25 threads or something.

if u dont want AIM ****ing up your games and minimizing ur windows, simply turn it off. no one really loves you that much to say "oh! (your name here) isn't on! i think i will go cry and kill a poodle," now do they?

lol just load some picture thats... well, too large, into a direct connect window. you can find some hubble space telescope pictures that can do the job. Mine was 11472 x 6429 pixels
