1.9 Patch help please

When i try to log in, this pops up: Failed to apply patch. Please try again later. If this problem persists you may need to reinstall or ccontact a technical support.

I went to there technical support forum, but i couldnt figure out how to sign up. What should i do?? If i reinstall, will i lose my characters? BTW im still on 1.8.4, does the patch apply itself auto, or do i have to go somewhere to do it. Help pleaseee

reinstalling wont delete your characters. were you able to download the new patch?

Yes, it was somthing stupid. I forgot i need to install the patch inside an Adminastrator account. Its all good now, thanks anyway.
